Using 59-12 Paint for your car bodywork :
1. Mixing preparation :
Thinner is included in the product formulation and for custom formulas, add 10-20% Debeer brand 9-151 waterbase thinner.
Once mixed, shake lightly to homogenise the colour.
2. Adjusting the Spray gun :
Whether it's an HVLP or high-efficiency spray gun, set the diameter of your nozzle to 1.3 mm.
3. Application to your bodywork substrate :
Apply two wet coats at a pressure of 2 bar / 29psi, then cover with a suitable clearcoat within 8 hours. After 8 hours, sand and apply a new coat of primer.
4. Compatible substrates :
900 Series should only be applied to bare steel, aluminium or primed plastic, well sanded/stripped and degreased. GRP well sanded, OEM primers and old paint systems in good condition.
5. Pot life :
Paint 59-12 has a pot life of 6 months.
