Properties of MM986 body paint
De Beer® brand WaterBase MM986 900 Series offers bright colours and is easy to apply. It is a water-based basecoat for a "Clearcoat on base" system.
This base colour for bodywork complies with current VOC standards.

Preparing MM 986 Waterborne Paint
For easy application of De Beer® WaterBase MM986, combine the base colour with 10% Thinner: Standard Thinner 9-151
Surface preparation
Before applying any Paint, it is essential to degrease the area with a microfibre cloth. Next comes the sanding stage, which you can do with a P400 or finer. Once all these steps have been carried out, remember to clean your surface to remove any residue left after sanding.
Applying MM 986 body paint
900 Series basecoats are applied using a body paint spray gun fitted with a 1.3 mm Nozzle. They are suitable for use as a primer in a two-coat system for passenger cars and heavy goods vehicles.
Application media for MM 986
MM900 series products should only be applied to bare steel, aluminium or plastic.

Application support for De Beer 900 Series paints
For best results, we recommend covering the colour with a professional two-component Clearcoat with high solids.
