Properties of MM989 body paint
De Beer® brand WaterBase MM989 900 Series is easy to apply and gives you high quality, vibrant colours. With this comprehensive range of colourants, you can mix OEM colours as required to get the right shade. The MM900 series is a water-based basecoat for a "Clearcoat on base" system. This product is suitable for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
This bodywork base tint complies with current VOC standards.
This ready-to-use product also complies with VOC code 2004/42/IIB(d)420)(418).
Preparing MM 989 Waterborne Paint
For easy application of De Beer® WaterBase MM989, combine the base colour with 10% Thinner: Standard Thinner 9-151
Preparing the substrate
Good substrate preparation is essential to guarantee a quality result for your customers. The first step is to degrease the area concerned with a degreaser or cleaner. The surface should then be sanded to smooth everything out. Finally, apply cleaner and compressed air to remove any small dust residues.
Applying MM 989 body paint
De Beer's 900 Series MM960 basecoats are applied using a body spray gun fitted with a 1.3mm Nozzle. They are suitable as a base coat for a two-coat system for light and heavy vehicles.
Finishing De Beer 900 Series bases
For best results, we recommend covering the colour with a high-solids, two-component car refinish.
