TUTORIALS & ADVICE
The Carross workshop: two Tech’Team technicians preparing a body panel

The Tech'Team Carross

The Tech’Team is Carross’s technical team: bodywork and paint professionals who prepare, paint and repair vehicles on a daily basis, from minor bodywork jobs to work carried out at dealerships. They are the ones who write and approve the tutorials you are reading here, and each guide bears their signature.

How a tutorial is written and approved

  1. The topic comes from your questions. The guides are based on the questions we frequently receive from our professional customers, not on a list of keywords.
  2. It is written by the technician specialising in that area. Whether it’s Preparation, application, finishing, tools or workshop organisation: the person whose job it is writes the guide, and their name remains on it.
  3. It is proofread by the technical team. The proofreading process checks the products mentioned, the order of the steps and the points where mistakes are most commonly made.
  4. It is updated whenever the product range changes. A guide that refers to a product or method that has changed is corrected, not left online as it is.

In practical terms, this means that a Carross tutorial gives you the right products, the correct steps, the mistakes to avoid and the time it actually takes — not just a copied-and-pasted technical data sheet. This is also why each tutorial is signed: you know who wrote it, and what experience it is based on.

The products they test and approve

The technical team doesn’t just write guides: they’re the ones who select, test and approve our own-brand products. The Carross ranges are developed in collaboration with the Tech’Team and renowned manufacturers — Masking products, Abrasives, Primers, Thinners, Clearcoats and Hardeners.

In practical terms, no product is added to the range without first passing through their hands: it is the same person who assesses a product in the workshop and who writes the tutorial where you’ll find it. A product we recommend in a guide is therefore a product we use ourselves.
