Properties of Diamont BC881 RM base paint
Diamont BC881 is a base paint for repairing two-coat metallic, pearlescent and opaque finishes. It has a shelf life of 60 months.
Preparation and application of RM Diamont base paint
First, clean the surface with RM's PK2000 , then sand with 400 grit sandpaper. This RM body paint can be applied over RM primer but also over original paintwork. It can be applied wet-on-wet over RM primer or sealer. Thinner the base with 6% Thinner BC 020 R-M. Using a bodywork spray gun fitted with a 1.3 - 1.5 mm diameter Nozzle, apply 2 coats for an opaque tint, and an additional coat to obtain a metallic or pearlescent tint, allowing to set between each coat until a matt surface is obtained. The surface dries in 5 minutes in the open air.
