Properties of Diamont BC820 RM base paint
Diamont BC820 Paint is a discount bodywork base tint for perfect repairs. The Diamont range of basecoats is designed for the repair of two-coat finishes. It can be used to obtain a special-effect metallic, pearlescent or opaque finish.
Preparing the surface for BC820 car paint
Clean the surface with RM's PK2000, then sand with 400 grit paper. RM's Body Paint can be applied over RM's primer but also over original paintwork. It can be applied wet-on-wet over RM primer or sealer. Then thin the base with 6% Thinner BC 020 R-M.
Application of RM Diamont base
Apply using a body paint spray gun; 2 coats are required for an opaque tint, and an additional coat for a metallic or pearlescent tint. Leave to dry between coats until you obtain a matt surface. The surface dries in 5 minutes in the open air.
Finishing for BC820 base
After evaporation, apply an R-M Clearcoat wet-on-wet.
