Properties of Diamont BC175 RM base paint
Diamont BC175 Paint is a bodywork base tint for the repair of two-coat metallic, pearlescent and opaque finishes. The R-M Diamont range has a 60-month shelf life.
Surface preparation
Clean the surface with RM's PK2000 , then sand with 400-grit paper (sanding primer or old solvent-insensitive through-hardened finish).
Application of RM Diamont base
This RM body paint can be applied over an RM primer or an original paint finish. It can be applied wet-on-wet over an RM primer or sealer. Thin the base with 6% Thinner BC 020 R-M. Using a 1.3 - 1.5 mm diameter Nozzle, apply 2 coats for an opaque tint, and an additional coat for a metallic or pearlescent tint, leaving to set between each coat until a matt surface is achieved. The surface dries in 5 minutes in the open air.
