Properties of Diamont BC617 RM base paint
Diamont BC617 Paint is designed for the repair of finishes in a two-coat system. It provides a special-effect metallic, pearlescent or opaque finish. The product has a shelf life of 60 months.
Preparing surfaces
Clean the surface with RM PK2000 . Sand with P400 abrasive paper before cleaning again with the Degreaser. It is also possible to apply on wet-on-wet primer or RM sealer.
Application of base BC617 from the RM Diamont range
Shake well before use. It must be diluted with 6% Thinner BC 020 R-M. Apply the base with an HVLP spray gun fitted with a 1.3-1.5 mm diameter Nozzle in two coats for an opaque shade. Add a third coat for a metallic or pearlescent tint. Leave to set well between coats until you obtain a matt surface. This dries in 5 minutes in the open air.
Applying the Clearcoat
Finally, after evaporation, apply a wet-on-wet RM Clearcoat.
