Properties of Diamont BC1182 RM base paint
Diamont BC1182 is a discount bodywork base tint for perfect repairs. The Diamont range of basecoats is designed for the repair of two-coat finishes. It can be used to obtain a special-effect metallic, pearlescent or opaque finish.
Preparing the surface
Clean the surface with RM PK2000 , then sand with 400-grit paper. This body paint can be applied over a primer, but also over original paintwork. It can be applied wet-on-wet over an RM primer or sealer.
Application of RM Diamont base
Thin the base with 6% Thinner BC 020 R-M. Using a 1.3 - 1.5 mm diameter Nozzle, apply 2 coats for an opaque tint, and an additional coat to obtain a metallic or pearlescent tint, leaving to set between each coat until a matt surface is obtained. The surface dries in 5 minutes in the open air.
