Properties of Diamont BC511 RM base paint
Diamont BC511 Paint is a base tint for the repair of two-coat metallic, pearlescent and opaque finishes. It has a shelf life of 60 months. Read the safety data sheet carefully before using the product.
Preparing surfaces for application of BC511 Paint
First, clean the surface with RM's PK2000. Sand with 400-grit sandpaper. This body paint can be applied over primer, but also over original paintwork. It can be applied wet-on-wet over an RM primer or sealer. Finally, thin the base with 6% Thinner BC 020 R-M.
Applying RM Diamont base
Apply the base using a bodywork spray gun with a 1.3 - 1.5 mm diameter Nozzle. Cover the area with 2 coats for an opaque shade, and 3 coats for a metallic or pearlescent shade. Be sure to leave to dry between coats until you obtain a matt surface. The surface dries in 5 minutes at 20°C.
Finishing the BC511 Diamont RM Paint
After evaporation, apply an R-M Clearcoat wet-on-wet.
