Properties of Cromax 1424W waterborne basecoat
Cromax paints comply with Directive 2004/42/EC on VOC emissions. They are made from polyurethane copolymers. These Matt basecoats are easy to apply and offer excellent colour matching. Their perfectly balanced covering and filling properties increase productivity.
Preparation for Cromax 1424W Paint
Cromax basecoats are ready to use and require no thinning. Depending on the application conditions in terms of temperature and humidity, the bases must be mixed with binders:

Applying Cromax body paints
Cromax finishes are applied in 2 operations. Please note that a light third coat is required for metallic or pearlescent colours. These basecoats are applied wet-on-wet, so there is no need to wait between coats.
For non-covering tints, apply 1 coat, wait until matte and then follow the application method for covering tints.
Substrate for base colour 1424W
Cromax hydro Matt basecoats can be applied to :
- All original and repaired finishes.
- Surfacer primers and 2K Refinish surfacers.
