Properties of Cromax 1514W waterborne basecoat
Cromax One-component waterborne Matt basecoats are available in opaque, metallic and pearlescent shades. They are easy to apply and provide excellent colour matching.
They comply with VOC compliant standards and Directive 2004/42/EC.
Preparation for Cromax 1514W Paint
Cromax basecoats are ready to use and do not need to be thinned. Depending on the application conditions in terms of temperature and humidity, the basecoats must be mixed with binders:

Preparing the surface for application of shade 1514W
Clean the surface, then degrease it with a Preparation cleaner. Carry out your repairs and sand the area concerned mechanically (P400-P500) or with water (P1000-P1200). Finish by removing the sanding dust and the final Degreaser.
Applying Cromax bodywork paints
Cromax finishes are applied in 2 operations. Except for metallic and pearlescent colours, which require 2 coats followed by a light 3rd coat.
Substrate for base colour 1514W
Cromax hydro Matt basecoats can be applied to :
- All original and repaired finishes.
- Primers and 2K Refinish surfacers.
Clearcoat use
Use only Refinish Clearcoats: 679S, 3050S, 3200S, 3550S, 3760S, 3800S, CC6400 and CC6600.
Apply when the base is completely matt.
