Properties of Cromax 1430W waterborne basecoat
Cromax 1430W is a One-component waterborne basecoat for opaque, metallic and pearlescent colours. It is suitable for light vehicles, trucks and polyurethane. Ready to use after tinting.
Complies with current VOC standards and Directive 2004/42/EC.
Preparation for Cromax 1430W Paint
Cromax basecoats are ready to use and do not need to be thinned. Depending on the application conditions in terms of temperature and humidity, the basecoats must be mixed with binders:

Surface Preparation
Start by degreasing the area with a Preparation cleaner, then carry out the necessary repairs. Sand the surface to remove all irregularities mechanically using P400-P500 abrasive paper, or wet using P1000-P1200 abrasive paper. Remove all traces of sanding dust by blowing with oil-free compressed air. Finish by degreasing again with a final cleaner/degreaser.
Applying Cromax bodywork paints
Cromax finishes are applied in 2 operations. Except for metallic and pearlescent colours, which require 2 coats followed by a light 3rd coat.
Substrate for base colour 1430W
Cromax hydro Matt basecoats can be applied to :
- All original and repaired finishes.
- Primers and 2K Refinish surfacers.
