Properties of Cromax® 1428W waterborne basecoat

Cromax® 1428W waterborne basecoat is very easy to apply. This comprehensive range allows you to achieve good colour matching thanks to its number of different colours. It can be used for all types of repairs: joints, panels or complete paints. This base is also ready to use after the tint has been weighed.

Preparing Cromax 1428W Paint

Cromax bases are ready to use and do not need to be thinned. Depending on the application conditions in terms of temperature and humidity, the basecoats must be mixed with binders:

• LV 1640WB binder (low viscosity)
• HV 1650WB binder (high viscosity)
• HT/FH WB400 Thinner

Applying Cromax body paints

Cromax finishes are applied in 2 operations. Pearlescent and metallic shades should be applied with a 3ᵉ light coat.

Support for base colour 1428W

Cromax® hydro Matt basecoats can be applied to:

• All original and repaired finishes.
• Primers surfacers and 2K Refinish surfacers.

Clearcoat application

Use only Refinish Clearcoats 679S, 3050S, 3200S, 3550S, 3750S, 3760S, 3800S, CC6400 and CC6600. When the Matt basecoat is completely matt, apply a Clearcoat. The maximum time for applying Clearcoat is 3 days, excluding contamination.
