Properties of Cromax® 1532W waterborne basecoat

Cromax paints comply with Directive 2004/42/EC on VOCs. They are made from polyurethane copolymers. These Matt basecoats are easy to apply and offer excellent colour matching. Their perfectly balanced covering and filling properties increase productivity.

Preparing Cromax 1532W Paint

Cromax basecoats are ready to use, no dilution required. Depending on the application conditions in terms of temperature and humidity, the basecoats must be mixed with binders:

• LV 1640WB binder (low viscosity)
• HV 1650WB binder (high viscosity)
• HT/FH WB400 Thinner

Applying Cromax body paints

Cromax finishes are applied in 2 operations. Except for metallic and pearlescent colours, which require 2 coats followed by a light 3rd coat.

Substrate for 1532W base colour

Cromax hydro Matt basecoats can be applied to :

• All original and repaired finishes.
• Primers and 2K Refinish surfacers.
