Properties of Cromax waterborne basecoat 1578W
Cromax paints comply with Directive 2004/42/EC on VOCs. They are made from polyurethane copolymers. These Matt basecoats are easy to apply and offer excellent colour matching. Their perfectly balanced covering and filling properties increase productivity.
Preparing Cromax 1578W Paint
Cromax basecoats are ready to use and require no thinning. Depending on the application conditions in terms of temperature and humidity, the bases must be mixed with binders:

Applying Cromax body paints
Cromax finishes are applied in 2 operations. Except for metallic and pearlescent colours, which require 2 coats followed by a light 3rd coat.
Substrate for base colour 1578W
Cromax hydro Matt basecoats can be applied to :
- All original and repaired finishes.
- Cromax primer surfacers and 2K surfacers.
Clearcoat application
Use only Clearcoats 679S, 3050S, 3200S, 3550S, 3750S, 3760S, 3800S, CC6400 and CC6600. When the Matt basecoat is completely matt, apply a Clearcoat.
Cleaning the equipment
Use demineralised water in specific cleaning equipment.
