Properties of Cromax® Pro waterborne basecoat WB1005
Cromax® Pro paints are easy to apply and provide excellent colour matching. Their excellent coverage/garnish balance means considerable savings in time and product. They can be used for joints, panels and complete paints. The use of the Controleur makes the Cromax® Pro Basecoat system flexible in use.
VOC compliant, in accordance with Directive 2004/42/EC.
Preparing Cromax Pro WB1005 Paint
Cromax Pro basecoats need to be mixed with controllers and other ancillary products, depending on the humidity level and ambient temperature:

Preparing surfaces before application
Clean the surface with a good preparation cleaner. Carry out any necessary repairs. Sand the surface mechanically (P400 - P500) or with water (P1000-P1200). Remove all traces of sanding dust by blowing with oil-free compressed air. Finish by degreasing with a good final cleaner/degreaser.
Applying Cromax Pro body paints
Cromax Pro finishes are suitable for fittings, panels and complete paints. They are applied in 2 coats for opaque colours and 1.5 coats for effect colours.
Support for base colour WB1005
Cromax® Pro hydro Matt basecoats can be applied to :
- All original and repaired finishes.
- Cromax Refinish primers and 2K surfacers.
They can be overcoated with Cromax Refinish 3550S, 3750S, 3760S, 3800S, CC6400 and CC6600 Clearcoats. When the Matt basecoat is completely matt, apply a Clearcoat. The maximum time for applying Clearcoat is 3 days, excluding contamination.
