How do I use T4341 base colour?
1. Substrate Preparation: Degreasing
Using a bodywork Degreaser and a clean microfibre cloth, clean your surface and then wipe the treated part of the bodywork directly.
2. Sanding with an abrasive :
For original finishes, we recommend using P500 grit abrasive paper or discs. For PPG primers, sand with progressively finer abrasives, then finish with fine-grain discs. You can use GreyMatic UHS professional primers available in white, grey or dark grey.
3. Preparation and adjustment of the Spray gun :
Equip yourself with a Paint spray gun then adjust the diameter of the Nozzle from 1.2 to 1.4 mm. The dry film thickness should be 10-20 µm.
4. Application and drying time :
Apply 1 first coat then, after drying completely, apply a second coat. You can also apply a placement veil over a dry film at an input pressure of 1.2 to 1.5 bar (except for opaque colours).
Tech'team tip: Be careful, too dry a placement veil will result in powdering, which may cause the Clearcoat to peel off.
5. Choice of Clearcoat :
Please allow a minimum of 15 minutes and a maximum of 24 hours for the Clearcoat to evaporate before applying it. We advise you to allow a longer evaporation time in the following cases: high viscosity, low air movement, high relative humidity or when the ambient temperature is low.
The cab must have sufficient air speed (0.4 m/s, vehicle in cab) to allow proper drying and prevent fogging.
