Vincent Raynaud for the historic Tour of Corsica

What is the Tour de Corse historique?

The Tour de Corse is a classic car rally on the island of Corsica, covering around 1,000 km over 5 days. Several events are organised, depending on the category in which you wish to compete: the best time, the best ranking or simply for fun, without time or ranking. This is the rally that Vincent Raynaud has decided to take part in, and will be trying to win a title.

Who is Vincent Raynaud?

Vincent Raynaud has been restoring and maintaining classic cars and racing cars for as long as he can remember. He is passionate about rallies, but also about mechanics, and has been taking part in national and international events for over 20 years.

His flagship brand: Mini! He chose to restore an Austin Mini MK3 wreck found in the Corsican scrubland to take part in this race.

A technical challenge, but above all an ecological gesture:

Bringing back to life vehicles doomed to "certain death" is the mission he has set himself. Guided by his passion for cars, but also by his ecological conscience, he is trying to restore nature to its former virginity by recycling vehicles found in the scrubland, which are generally in ruins, rusty or even burnt out.

What's more, he adds, "it's also a way of showing that in these days of hyper-consumption, when products are going as far as programmed obsolescence, it's possible to give a second life to old objects and make something new out of something old".

Where can you find him?

If you're interested in his renovations, if you share his passion, or if you just want to find out a bit more about him, you can find him on his YouTube channel: CVVT by Vincent Raynaud. He shares all his restorations, his 'finds'... from rescue in the scrubland to the final touch on the bodywork.

The historic Tour of Corsica 2023

After 8 months of renovation, the Mini Cooper S MK3 was on the starting line on 9 October 2023 in Porto Vecchio.

Despite a number of technical problems, Vincent and his co-driver managed to cope and finish this historic race on the Isle of Beauty.
