Carross sponsors Corbas Lyon Métropole

Can you tell us a bit about Corbas Lyon Métropole?

We started out as a cycle-touring club 10 years ago, and today we have 200 members of all ages. Our elite team has just won the French Cup in the 2nd National division and is now in the 1ʳᵉ division, where the 20 best amateur clubs in France compete. The ambition is to create the benchmark Lyon cycling team that does not exist today, with the eventual aim of a professional team competing in the Tour de France (3 years timeframe). After basketball and football, we want to become the 3ᵉ pillar of Lyon sport. We are developing this project with local roots and strong social actions.

What are your core values?

  • All our runners are supported academically and/or professionally.
  • We train our young people from cycling school (6 years old) and in all categories (under-18s, minimes, cadets, juniors).
  • We also invest in women's cycling with an elite team
  • We provide support for the underprivileged by loaning bikes every year (cycling is becoming increasingly expensive).
  • We have an eco-responsible vision of our sport, with a behaviour charter for riders (littering), waste sorting at races, etc.
  • We support disabled sportsmen and women, including Alexandre Lloveras, gold medallist in Tokyo and medallist at Paris 2024.

What can Carross do for you?

In our discussions, we have found shared values and similar development paths, and we are delighted to be able to count on the support of local businesses.
