Presentation of SH858 from the Permahyd 280 range from Spies Hecker:
Quality and benefits of Permahyd Paint:
The Matt basecoat Permahyd range offered by the professional brand Spies Hecker is a high-quality waterborne Matt basecoat system. It is based on a special PU dispersion technology for high-quality opaque effect paints. The Permahyd 280 range of bases is waterborne, which means it is environmentally friendly, with minimal solvent emissions and compliance with current European legislation on VOCs. Permahyd 280 bases can be used to reproduce two-coat, metallic and opaque finishes. For even greater gloss and durability, combine the base with a High Solid Permasolid Clearcoat.
It has a number of considerable advantages for the professional bodybuilder:
- Good Theoretical coverage
- VOC compliant
- High colour accuracy
- Reliable vertical stability
- Good opacity
- Easy to apply
How do I apply Permahyd Paint?

> Application as a connector system for three-coat colours:
Apply a coat of Additive SH9005 available on the Carross website on the transition area. Then apply SH858 to your surface to form an opaque film. Remember to widen the area of application of each subsequent coat, using an overlapping process so as to leave only one transition zone.
Blend the transition area using reduced pressure. Once the desolvation is complete, Clearcoat High Solid Permasolid should be applied to the entire body surface.
> Joining system for three-coat effect colours :
1. Mix your Basecoat fine silver gloss colour with Spies Hecker Additive 9007. You can add between 5 and 10% of Spies Hecker Permahyd 6000 demineralised water.
2. Apply the colour to the primed area to obtain an opaque film. Apply with reduced pressure. Allow to soak for 5 to 10 minutes, then dry for 15 to 20 minutes at 60-65°C.
