Spies Hecker Permahyd 280 SH825 is a polyurethane dispersion base paint for bodywork at discount prices. The Permahyd 280 range of bases is water-soluble, which means it is environmentally friendly, with minimal solvent emissions and compliance with current European legislation on VOCs. Easy to apply, it has Reliable vertical stability and exceptional Theoretical coverage. Permahyd 280 bases can be used to produce two-coat, metallic and opaque finishes. For an even glossier appearance and greater durability, combine the base with a High Solid Permasolid Clearcoat.

Permahyd 280 hydro base can be applied to :
- Permasolid 2K acrylic primer
- Old paint in perfect condition
- Permacron elastic adhesion primer
Preparation and application of Spies Hecker hydro base SH825 Permahyd
Prepare the surface by cleaning with Thinner 7080 or Permaloid 7010, then dry sanding with 400 - 500 grit paper. Thinner the base with Permahyd Demineralised Water SH6000 (see ISO 3696) or Permahyd Special Water 6002 slow (for use at temperatures above 30°C). Using a 1.2 - 1.3 mm diameter Nozzle, apply one and a half coats (a veil then a full coat), leaving to set between each coat until a matt surface is obtained.
