Complementary products and additives
This product can be combined with various Sikkens hardeners, thinners and additives.
Preparing the surface
After carrying out the necessary repairs, clean the surface with a suitable cleaner. Finish your preparation by sanding one last time mechanically (P500) or with water (P1000), and clean the surface concerned before applying the finish.
Applying R220 topcoat
Using a gravity spray gun, apply a medium coat followed by a full coat. Be sure to allow 1 to 3 minutes for evaporation at 20°C before applying the second coat.
Drying time and polishing
Allow to evaporate for 5 minutes at 20°C before placing the car in a cabin at 60°C. Evaporation time depends on application and temperature. Handle after about 10 minutes. Allow to evaporate for 5 minutes before infrared drying. Dust and minor imperfections can be sanded off after the drying times indicated above and cooling of the element. Repair the surface and polish following the recommended polishing procedures.
Ready to polish after approx. 1 hour when cooled to room temperature.
