This light grey 2K epoxy primer provides excellent protection against corrosion and adheres well to steel, aluminium, sanded galvanized steel surfaces and sanded old paint. 1 litre container.
Application of 4CR’s 2K Epoxy Primer 2:1 4520.1000
Sand and then degrease the surface before applying the epoxy primer. It is used in a 2:1 ratio with its hardener 0451 and 10–25 per cent of thinner 0505
- Spray nozzle size 1.2–1.6
- Spray pressure 2 bar, 1 to 2 coats.
- Before applying putty or polyester primer, allow to cure for 30 minutes at 60°C or 12 hours at 20°C with a maximum thickness of 25 µm (one thin layer).
- Sand the epoxy after 48 hours.
Wet-on-wet application possible (nozzle 1.2–1.3, 15–20 µm), 25–50 µm, DPU 5 h, coverage 9–10 m²/l.
