Features of 4CR’s 4100.1000 Wash Primer for bodywork
This chromate free 2K reactive primer is specially designed for aluminium surfaces; it provides protection against corrosion and offers excellent adhesion to ferrous substrates. Also ideal for new parts.
A 2-component, chromate free, acid-reactive primer with excellent adhesion to iron and high corrosion resistance, specially developed for aluminium substrates. The product is used as a primer in a 3-coat system. It cannot be overcoated with polyester products (putty, polyester primer) or thermoplastic paints. It must be overcoated within 8 hours.
Application of 4CR 4100.1000 Wash Primer for bodywork
We recommend testing adhesion on the final substrate before application.
- Mix Wash Primer 4100.1000 with its hardener 0410.0500 in a 2:1 ratio
- Use a gravity-fed spray gun with a 1.3–1.5 mm nozzle at a pressure of 3–4 bar to apply 1–1.5 coats.
- A 1:1 ratio is possible for large surfaces
- Pot life: 12 hours
- Coverage: 8–10 m²/l
- Carry out a preliminary adhesion test on stainless steel
The product is touch-dry after 20–25 minutes
