Aquabase Plus P991-8975-E1 paint is a discount-priced car paint that will meet all your needs. The Aquabase Plus range of matt basecoats is water-dilutable, making it environmentally friendly due to minimal solvent emissions and compliance with current European legislation on VOCs. Used for bodywork touch-ups, the Aquabase Plus matt basecoat allows you to reproduce metallic, solid, pearlescent colours and even special-effect finishes. For an even glossier finish and greater durability, combine the base coat with a Nexa Autocolor clearcoat and primer. Easy to use, this product can be used in a variety of conditions.

Preparation and application of Nexa Autocolor Aquabase Plus matt base coat P991-8975

Add 10% Aquabase Plus P980-5000 thinner (30% if workshop temperatures are high). Then apply single coats using a 1.2–1.4 mm diameter nozzle, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next until a matt finish is achieved. The surface must be completely dry before applying the clearcoat. Please note: only Nexa Autocolor two-component clearcoats may be applied over the Aquabase Plus base coat. For a pearlescent, metallic or special-effect finish, refer to the product data sheet.

Substrates compatible with Nexa Autocolor automotive paints

Aquabase Plus matt basecoats can be applied over primers (wet-on-wet application is possible) and Nexa Autocolor 2K undercoats, on metal or plastic surfaces. Do not apply Aquabase Plus directly onto P572-2000 and 2001 primers.
