Properties of Clearcoat Permacron 2K matt 8085

Clearcoat Permacron 2K matt 8085 from Spies Hecker is a liquid acrylic finish for bodywork. It is ideal for painting small plastic surfaces. It gives the finish a matt appearance. It can be mixed with both MS and High Solid Hardeners. It can be applied over Permahyd Series 280 and 285 lacquers.

Preparation and application of Clearcoat 8085 Spies Hecker

The discount Clearcoat 8085 is mixed 3:1 with :

• Standard High Solid Hardener 3310 Permasolid
• High Solid Slow Hardener 3312 Permasolid
• High Solid Ultra Slow Hardener 3315 Permasolid

Clearcoat can also be mixed 5:1 with the following Spies Hecker VHS Hardeners:

• Permasolid Standard VHS Hardener 3225
• Permasolid VHS Hardener Slow 3230
• Permasolid Extra Slow VHS Hardener 3240

To complete the preparation of Clearcoat 2K 8085 Spies Hecker, the addition of one of the following Thinners is recommended (25% in 3:1 method and 30% in 5:1 method):

• Permacron Universal Thinner 3364
• Permacron Thinner 3380
• Permacron Slow Thinner 3365

The pot life of the preparation is approximately 4 hours at +20°C. Using these Hardeners gives a different gloss effect. Apply using a 1.3 - 1.4 mm diameter Nozzle and a pressure of 2.0 - 2.5 bar, in one full coat and one Topcoat (desolvating time between the two: 15 - 20min). It is recommended to obtain a dry coat 50 - 60µm thick. Allow to dry overnight at room temperature, or 45 - 60 minutes at 60°C.
