The Air Gloss Carross Hardener (Ref. AGD) is specially formulated to trigger the rapid curing of Air Gloss 2K clearcoat (Ref. AGV). Its high-purity isocyanate technology has been calibrated to deliver rapid hardening at room temperature, ensuring a perfect finish and long-lasting gloss without shrinkage.
Optimised catalysis for air drying
- Rapid curing at 20 °C: Enables the clearcoat to reach a touch-dry state in 30 minutes and be ready for polishing in just 60 minutes, without the need for heat curing.
- Mechanical and chemical resistance: Ensures uniform cross-linking throughout the entire thickness of the dry film (50 to 60 µm), giving the finish enhanced resistance to scratches, UV light and chemicals.
- Oven compatibility maintained: Where workshop production rates require it, it withstands short temperature ramp-ups perfectly (15 minutes at 40 °C or 5 minutes at 60 °C).
Precise dosing and suitable packaging
The Air Gloss hardener is formulated for a standard mixing ratio of 2:1 by volume (or 100 g of clearcoat to 52 g of hardener by weight), with no need to add a thinner.
It is available in two sizes that correspond exactly to the clearcoat packaging:
- 0.5 L size (Ref. AGD0.5): Perfectly proportioned for the 1 L clearcoat container (AGV1).
- 2.5 L size (Ref. AGD2.5): Designed for the 5 L can of clearcoat (AGV5).
Workshop usage advice
- Dosage: Strictly adhere to the mixing ratio to avoid any risk of under-crosslinking or weakening of the film.
- Pot life: Use themixture within 40 minutes at 20 °C.
- Storage: Product sensitive to atmospheric humidity. Close the container tightly immediately after use and store at temperatures between +10 °C and +30 °C.
