DESCRIPTION

Q-BOND adhesive kit for plastic repairs – 2 x 10 ml bottles, black powder and grey powder

The Q-BOND kit is a two-component repair system comprising a liquid adhesive and a reinforcing powder. It can be used to fill, bond and reinforce plastic or metal parts that are broken, cracked or have holes in them. The kit contains two 10 ml bottles of adhesive, one bottle of black powder and one bottle of grey powder.

Repair and rebuild a part without replacing it

The adhesive and powder combine to form a unique bond. The adhesive provides the bond, whilst the powder supplies the material to fill and reinforce the area. This method is useful in a workshop for repairing a bumper, a mounting bracket or a housing rather than ordering a new part. Once set, the repair can be easily sanded and repainted, restoring a clean finish.

Two types of powder depending on the substrate

Black powder

The black powder is designed for plastics, rubber, carbon fibre, composite materials and wood.

Grey powder

Grey powder is suitable for most metals and alloys, except stainless steel and copper. It can also be used on grey-coloured plastics.

Where to use it

The manufacturer lists numerous applications, particularly in the automotive sector:

  • bumpers, grilles, headlights, wing mirrors, plastic panels and trims;
  • radiators;
  • bonnet, water pumps, fuel tanks;
  • motorbike parts, electrical appliances, furniture, tools, machinery, moulds and swimming pool equipment.

What the kit can repair

Cracks and breaks

The adhesive bonds broken parts back together and reinforces cracks before sanding and painting.

Holes and areas where material is missing

The powder fills and rebuilds the damaged area, offering good filling capacity.

Point to note

The choice of powder depends on the substrate: black for plastics, grey for metals. Before bonding, identify the material of the part. Certain oily or waxy plastics, such as polyethylene or polypropylene, are generally difficult to bond. It is therefore advisable to carry out a test on an inconspicuous area. Refer to the kit instructions for preparation and usage guidelines.
