1-161: the slow-drying version of the DeBeer Uni Thinner range
The DeBeer Uni Thinner range is available in five speeds, from fastest to slowest: 1-141 (fast), 1-151 (medium), 1-161 (slow), 1-171 (very slow) and 1-181 (ultra-slow). The 1-161 is designed for use on sites where a longer evaporation time is required to ensure the product levels out properly before drying.
When to choose the slow version rather than a fast version
- On a large surface area, to keep the product workable long enough to complete the application in one go.
- In high ambient temperatures, where a fast-evaporating thinner would evaporate before allowing for proper spreading.
- To minimise the risk of orange peel or dry splatter caused by excessively rapid evaporation in a hot spray booth.
Compatibility with DeBeer products
1-161 is formulated to work with DeBeer ancillary products, in particular the brand’s 2K clearcoats requiring a corresponding hardener. Its low-VOC formulation complies with the regulatory limits applicable to bodywork products.
