Glasurit Eco Balance A-C-24 clearcoat and A-H-420 hardener kit
A kit combining A-C-24 Ultimate Speed Eco Balance clearcoat and A-H-420 Extra hardener, providing immediate access to both components of the system in the mixing ratio specified by Glasurit.
A fixed-ratio system, designed not to be improvised
A-C-24 operates according to a precise mixing ratio: 3 parts clearcoat to 1 part hardener and 1 part thinner. This ratio directly determines the specified drying time and the film’s performance once cured. Ordering the clearcoat and its hardener together prevents you from ending up, when preparing the mixture, with a hardener from a different range that would not maintain this balance.
The role of the A-H-420 hardener in the Ultimate Speed system
A-H-420 is the ‘extra’ version of the Eco Balance topcoat hardener, consistent with the ‘Ultimate Speed’ positioning of A-C-24. The Glasurit range also offers the A-H-410 (fast), as well as the A-H-430 and A-H-440 for other curing rate requirements; the inclusion of the A-H-420 in this kit is tailored to the intended use of the clearcoat, eliminating the need for further decision-making in the workshop.
Two possible application methods
- In 1½ coats, with no flash-off time between coats.
- In 2 coats, with 1 to 3 minutes’ flash-off between each coat.
Drying rate depending on booth temperature
The system dries in approximately 20 minutes at 40 °C, or in 10 minutes at 60 °C. Glasurit’s data also covers drying at 20 °C for application outside a heated booth.
