Carross NM400 Matt Black Spray is an aerosol paint solution formulated with combined nitro resins, specially designed to meet the needs of professional bodywork specialists, both in the workshop and on the spot. Its neat, even matt finish makes it ideal for Touch up, tinting car parts or protecting various surfaces.
A technical formulation designed for professionals:
NM400 is based on a combined nitro resin with a high solids content, guaranteeing excellent coverage in just a few passes. The heavy metal-free formulation (lead-free, cadmium-free, chrome-free) meets the regulatory requirements in force in bodyshops, particularly in terms of operator safety and environmental compliance.
Its VOC (volatile organic compound) content is 88 g/l in accordance with the European directive, making it a compliant product for regular professional use.
Application features :
NM400 matt black spray is applied in 2 criss-cross passes (one horizontal, one vertical) at a distance of 15 to 25 cm from the substrate, for a dry film deposit of 40 to 50 microns. The desolvation time between each pass is just 2 to 3 minutes, so the coats can be applied quickly with no risk of dripping or film distortion.
The product is ready to use, with no mixing or dosing required. Simply shake the Spray vigorously for 2 minutes after activating the mixing beads to ensure the product is perfectly homogeneous before application.
The optimum application temperature is between 18 and 25°C. Below or above these values, drying times and film quality may be affected.
Adhesion and substrate compatibility
NM400 spray adheres to a wide range of prepared substrates:
- Metal: steel, aluminium or alloys, provided the surface is first cleaned, degreased and sanded.
- Plastics: compatibility to be tested on an inconspicuous area before general application. The prior use of a primer suitable for plastics is recommended to guarantee adhesion.
- Other surfaces: wood, paper, ceramics, clay, stone, glass, provided they are clean, dry and free of grease.
Warning: do not apply to surfaces painted with synthetic resin-based paints, as this may cause the existing film to lift or dissolve.
Integration into a bodywork paint process:
The NM400 can be integrated into a structured paint process:
- Preparation: Sanding, dusting, degreasing.
- If necessary, apply a compatible primer or base coat suited to the substrate being treated.
- Apply the NM400 spray in criss-cross strokes over the primed surface.
- The product can be covered by itself at any time without risk of incompatibility.
The film dries to the touch in 5 to 10 minutes and is completely dry in 24 hours, giving a clean, long-lasting finish without prolonged masking or immobilisation of the vehicle or part being treated.
Durability and resistance over time:
NM400 Matt Black Paint offers excellent scratch resistance and good light and weather resistance, making it particularly suitable for parts exposed to outdoor conditions: bumpers, mirror caps, rocker panels, wheel rims, repainted body parts, exterior equipment.
Spray storage and care instructions :
After each use, turn the Spray upside down and purge the valve until the gas alone is expelled, to avoid clogging the Nozzle. Store the product away from heat, between 15 and 25°C, in a dry place, away from any source of heat or ignition. Shelf life is optimal under these storage conditions.
