SprayMax 1K Bonding Agent (Ref. 680093) is a precision tool formulated to solve one of the most difficult problems in bodywork Touch up: achieving a perfectly invisible transition zone between an existing Clearcoat and a new application.

Thanks to its composition based on high-performance resin and solvent Coveralls, this product simultaneously penetrates and dissolves the old and new Clearcoat, creating a seamless junction that is undetectable to the naked eye.

Recommended procedure

To guarantee optimum results, the Bonding Binder is integrated directly into the Clearcoat application protocol:

1. Prepare the transition area by lightly roughening the surface with an abrasive pad (grit P2000 to P4000). The surface must be clean and frosted to ensure good adhesion and dissolution.
2. Apply your Clearcoat (1K/2K clear or 2K Topcoat) according to your usual protocol.
3. Immediately apply the bonding agent to the spray mist area. Quick action is essential so that the solvent acts while the Clearcoat is still fresh.
4. Spray from a distance of15-20 cm until you obtain an even, uniform film.
5. Allow to dry, then proceed with Polishing to restore the shine of the surrounding Clearcoat.

Optimum application conditions For consistent, reproducible results, application is recommended between 18 and 25°C, with humidity between 40 and 60%. Outside these conditions, dissolution kinetics may be altered, affecting the quality of the final joint.
