Description of the Carross Anti-gravel PAG protection:
This professional-grade product is a textured, Anti-gravel protective coating based on rubber and solvent-based resins. Available in grey, black or white, this product quickly forms a highly abrasion-resistant plastic film when sprayed onto metal panels. It is recommended for protecting side panels, door sills, underbody panels, boot lids, underruns, bumpers and doors.
It withstands temperatures ranging from -25°C to +80°C.
Carross’s anti-gravel protection stands out for its excellent elasticity; it does not shrink or crack, even at low temperatures. Its fast drying properties allow painting to begin after 45 minutes at room temperature (20°C).
How is Carross Anti-gravel protection applied?
- Bodywork surfaces must be clean, dry and free from rust, grease, dust or other contaminants
- It is important to mask off any areas that are not to be coated
- To improve adhesion on older surfaces, light sanding may be carried out
- Pre-treat the surface with a washprimer and epoxy primers, then allow the surface to dry completely.
- Shake the bottle well for about 15 seconds
- Fit the bottle to a suitable air-powered spray gun
- The recommended air pressure is 4 to 5 bar
- Then, from a distance of 15–20 cm, apply two coats to your bodywork
- The recommended dry film thickness is 350–400 µm
- Please note: the total thickness must not exceed 1 mm (to be applied in several coats)
- Close the can after use and clean the application equipment thoroughly with a cleaner
- The surface can be overcoated after approximately 45 minutes, and no later than 8 hours after application
- Once the product is dry, light sanding is recommended before applying paint, to achieve the best possible result
