Description: Debeer Super 8-910 Hardener 5L

Features of the 8-910 hardener

Supplied in a 5-litre container, the Debeer 8-910 Super Hardener is part of the ‘High Solid’ product range, characterised by a high solids content. This unique formulation enables it to produce a thick, durable coating, making it particularly suitable for applications where a long-lasting, robust finish is required, such as in high-quality finishes. It is specially formulated for use with Debeer Refinish paints and clearcoats, thus ensuring perfect compatibility and optimal performance of the finishing system.

Intended for professional use only, this Debeer hardener stands out for its ability to dry quickly whilst providing a uniform application. It also ensures excellent adhesion, which contributes to the durability of the final coating whilst maintaining its robust properties. In addition to its technical characteristics, the 8-910 Super Hardener complies with strict environmental standards regarding VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). This formulation reduces emissions of volatile substances into the air, thereby ensuring compliance with European environmental protection regulations. All these features make this De Beer hardener a high-performance yet environmentally friendly choice for automotive bodywork professionals.

Super 8-910 is compatible with De Beer finishing products, notably the Clearcoats in the High Solid range and certain De Beer Refinish primers. These combinations ensure optimum adhesion, a uniform finish and excellent durability.

  • Fast and uniform drying: It dries quickly whilst maintaining a uniform finish, allowing bodywork technicians to work efficiently without compromising the quality of the coating.
  • Strength and durability: Thanks to its high-solids formulation, 8-910 is designed to produce a thick, durable film, ideal for environments requiring a finish that is resistant to impact and wear.
  • Compliance with environmental standards: It complies with standards relating to Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), making it a more environmentally friendly option whilst ensuring compliance with European environmental regulations.
  • Suitable for professional use: Intended for bodywork specialists, it is ideal for high-quality results requiring a meticulous finish and enhanced durability of the treated surfaces.

These advantages make the 8-910 a trusted choice for specialists seeking a high-quality finish and consistent production.

Using Debeer 8-910 hardener

To get the best results from the colourless 8-914 hardener, it is essential to follow the various steps to achieve a professional finish for your work.

1. Preparation and mixing ratio

Mix the 8-914 clearcoat with the 8-910 in a 1:1 ratio. This simple mixture ensures optimum performance.

2. Spray gun adjustment

Use a 1.2 to 1.3 mm nozzle with an air pressure of between 1.8 and 2.0 bar (26–29 PSI) for effective spraying.

3. Application

Apply in 1.5 coats or as ½ + 1 coat to achieve a film thickness of 40–50 μm. Avoid allowing the paint to evaporate between coats when applying continuously.

4. Drying time

Air drying (approx. 20°C), powder dry: 20 mins, touch-dry in 45 mins and ready for polishing in 45 to 60 mins.

When cured at 60°C, it dries in 5 to 10 minutes, with cooling required before Polishing.

5. Finishing

Once the material has been applied and has dried, it is ready for effective Polishing to ensure a glossy, uniform finish.
