Properties of Cromax 1505W Waterborne Basecoat

Cromax paints are very easy to apply and provide excellent colour matching. The excellent coverage/gloss balance means considerable savings in time and product. They can be used for fittings, panels and complete paints. Cromax bases are ready to use after the tint has been weighed. VOC compliant, in accordance with Directive 2004/42/EC.

Preparation for Cromax 1505W Paint

Cromax basecoats are ready to use and do not need to be thinned. Depending on the application conditions in terms of temperature and humidity, the basecoats must be mixed with binders:

• LV 1640WB binder (low viscosity)
• HV 1650WB binder (high viscosity)
• HT/FH WB400 Thinner

Applying Cromax body paints

Cromax finishes are applied in 2 operations. Except for metallic and pearlescent colours, which require 2 coats followed by a light 3rd coat.

Substrate for base colour 1505W

Cromax hydro Matt basecoats can be applied to :

• All original and repaired finishes.
• Primers and 2K Refinish surfacers.

Clearcoat application

Cromax waterborne basecoats are compatible with Refinish Clearcoats 679S, 3050S, 3200S, 3550S, 3750S, 3760S, 3800S, CC6400 and CC6600. Apply when the base is completely matt.

The maximum time for application is 3 days excluding contamination.
