Features of Cromax’s High Solid P70x surfacer
This Cromax primer provides excellent theoretical coverage in very few coats whilst delivering a remarkable finish.

Application of Cromax High Solid P70x surfacer
Mixing ratio: 7:1 with Cromax ET645 hardener and up to 8% ET745/750 thinner
Nozzle and air pressure: gravity-fed spray gun with a nozzle size of 1.4–1.6 and a pressure of 2–2.5 bar
drying time :
- at 20°C: 3–4 hours
- at 60°C: 20 mins
Surface preparation
- Steel, zinc and aluminium must be coated with Wash Primer before the primer.
- Be sure to clean the surface using a clean, microfibre-type cloth.
- Sand and remove all traces of rust and corrosion.
- Remove all traces of sanding dust with a new, clean microfibre cloth.
- Then degrease the surface with a cleaner/degreaser, and wipe it down again with a clean cloth.
Tech’team tip: It is important to use a good solvent-based spray gun cleaner.
