Properties of the 105xR high-productivity primer
The 105xR VOCprimer (VOC IIB(c) 540 g/l) offers excellent filling power and a fine finish. It is easy to apply and remains easy to sand even after one hour of air drying. This product is compatible with the ValueShade®* system.

The 105xR primer must be mixed in the following proportions:
Application of Cromax 105xR primer
The 105xR two-component High Solid primer can be applied using two methods:
- High-build: this method is used to mask putty marks and to fill small sanding scratches or drill holes.
- Surface-filling for sanding: this is suitable for joints, panels and full paint finishes.
- Drying time: 1 hour
- Final flash-off: 30 minutes
- Sanding: P500
Substrates compatible with this primer
Cromax 105xR primer is suitable for:
- Bare metal, which must be coated with Whash Primer 1k or a primer
- Cataphoretic coatings
- Sanded polyester putties, epoxy primers and Cromax reactive primers
This high-productivity primer can be overcoated with any Cromax topcoat.
*The ValueShade® system provides a simple solution to issues associated with modern transparent pigments. There are 7 ValueShade® formulations corresponding to 7 different levels of intensity: from white to black, including various shades of grey. The chosen grey undercoat enhances the intensity of the transparent colour. The desired colour is achieved by applying two standard coats, the last of which does not need to be thick.
