Spies Hecker’s Permasolid 275 SH721 paint is a budget-friendly base coat for bodywork. The Permasolid 275 range of lacquers complies with current European legislation on VOCs. Easy to apply, it offers excellent flow. The Permasolid 275 range offers a wide choice of colours so you can find the one that suits you best.

Substrates compatible with Spies Hecker SH721 bodywork paint

Permasolid 275 topcoats can be applied to existing or original paintwork that is in good condition and fully cured, and to surfaces coated with a Primer or Primer-Sealer.

Preparation and application of a Permasolid 275 base coat

1. Prepare the surface by cleaning with Permasolid 7799 anti-silicone thinner or Permaloid 7010, followed by dry sanding with 400–500-grit sandpaper. Add the following to the base coat:

• Permasolid VHS 3220 Fast Hardener (for small areas, spot repairs)
• Permasolid Slow-Cure VHS Hardener 3230 (for large areas at moderate temperatures)
• Permasolid Extra Slow VHS Hardener 3240 (for large areas at high temperatures)

Thin the base coat with: Permacron Thinner 3380

Then apply one and a half coats (one light coat followed by one full coat) using a 1.2–1.4 mm diameter nozzle, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next until a matt finish is achieved.
