This Thinner PPG D8714 is available in 2.5L cans and is FOR PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY. D8714 is an essential product for body shops looking for efficiency, speed and reliability in varnish repairs. Thanks to its high-precision accelerator formula, it helps to minimise downtime, while guaranteeing an excellent quality finish on all types of repairs, from quick touch-ups to full repairs.
What are the advantages of D8714?
1- Ultra-fast drying time:
D8714 has been designed to significantly reduce solvent evaporation time and overall Clearcoat curing, resulting in increased productivity in the workshop, particularly for quick repairs.
2- Product suitable for low temperatures:
Ideally designed for use in cold to temperate conditions (max 15-20°C), it compensates for the natural slowdown in chemical reactions due to ambient temperature.
3- Maintains finish quality:
Despite its fast evaporation rate, D8714 is designed to guarantee excellent tensioning and uniform stretching, with no orange peel effect or shrinkage. It preserves the final gloss and limits the risk of surface defects such as bubbling or dry dust.
4- Highly compatible with PPG:
The Fast Thinner integrates perfectly into the standard mixing systems of PPG professional Clearcoats, without compromising mixing ratios, durability or chemical resistance.
How do I use Thinner D8714?
1- Mixing preparation :
Using the Clearcoat technical data sheet, follow the Mixing ratio and shake before application to ensure the product is well blended.
2- Recommended temperature conditions:
We recommend a temperature of between 15 and 20°C and a relative humidity of < 70% for optimum drying.
3- Application to your bodywork surface :
Apply 1 to 2 coats of Clearcoat and allow to evaporate between coats depending on the temperature.
4- Drying time :
- At 20°C: the surface dries to the touch in approximately 20 to 30 minutes.
- At 60°C: in the spray booth, approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
