D8718 Professional Thinner is a standard UHS (Ultra High Solid) thinner developed by PPG to optimise the application of high solids Clearcoats, particularly in PPG's Deltron Progress range. How do I use UHS Thinner?
1. Mixing preparation :
The professional product is generally used in a dilution ratio of 10 to 20%. This depends on the Clearcoat used, the temperature and the style of application.
It is important to homogenise your mixture well before applying it to your bodywork surface.
2. Application advice :
To apply correctly to your bodywork surface, we recommend that you use a car paint spray gun and set the nozzle diameter to 1.2-1.3 mm. Apply 2 coats, allowing 5-10 minutes drying time between coats. This type of Thinner gives an even spread, with little overloading and good spray control.
3. Drying time :
It is essential to respect the drying time indicated on the technical data sheet for the Clearcoat used.
