Description of PPG F348 Fast drying binder
Defleet F348 Binder from PPG has a two-component finish designed specifically for the commercial vehicle market. Easy to apply over large areas, it also offers good appearance and durability. Thanks to the Delfleet system of Hardeners and Thinners, Spray properties can be tailored to suit different application methods, conditions and types of work.
Preparing the substrate for application of F348 binder
Original finishes and surfaces in good condition should be degreased, cleaned and sanded before applying the finish. Steel, aluminium, GRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) and galvanised steel must be pre-primed with with the appropriate Delfleet primer to ensure good adhesion between coats and adequate substrate protection.
Cleaning the substrate
The substrate to be painted must be dry, clean and free from corrosion, grease and release agents. Substrates must be carefully prepared using a mixture of Degreaser and cleaner.
Tech'team Tip: After use, thoroughly clean all equipment with a Thinner or cleaning solvent.
