DESCRIPTION

Description of the Carross anti-gravel PAG protection:

This professional-grade product is a textured, anti-gravel protective coating based on rubber and solvent-based resins. Available in grey, black or white, this product quickly forms a highly abrasion-resistant plastic film when sprayed onto metal panels. It is recommended for protecting side panels, door sills, underbody panels, boot lids, underbody areas, bumpers and doors.

It withstands temperatures ranging from -25°C to +80°C.

Carross’s anti-gravel protection stands out for its excellent elasticity; it does not shrink or crack, even at low temperatures. Its fast drying properties allow painting to begin after 45 minutes at room temperature (20°C).

How is Carross PAG anti-gravel protection applied?

  • Bodywork surfaces must be clean, dry and free from rust, grease, dust or other contaminants
  • It is important to mask off any areas that are not to be coated
  • To improve adhesion on older surfaces, light sanding may be carried out
  • Pre-treat the surface with a washprimer and epoxy primers, then allow the surface to dry completely.
  • Shake the bottle well for about 15 seconds
  • Fit the bottle to a suitable air-powered spray gun
  • The recommended air pressure is 4 to 5 bar
  • Then, from a distance of 15–20 cm, apply two coats to your bodywork
  • The recommended dry film thickness is 350–400 µm
  • Please note: the total thickness must not exceed 1 mm (to be applied in several coats)
  • Close the can after use and clean the application equipment thoroughly with a cleaner
  • The surface can be painted over after approximately 45 minutes, and no later than 8 hours after application
  • Once the product is dry, light sanding is recommended before applying paint, to achieve the best possible result
