Using Debeer 8-814 Quick Clearcoat
To use Debeer 8-814 clearcoat effectively and achieve the best possible result, follow these essential steps:
1. Preparation of the product
Before use, shake the container well to ensure the product is thoroughly mixed. Ensure that the surface to be clearcoated is clean, dry and free from contaminants.
2. Mixing ratio
Mix the clearcoat with the specific hardener in a ratio of 2:1 (2 to 1). If necessary, add a Thinner to adjust the viscosity according to temperature conditions.
3. Adjusting the spray gun
For efficient and easy application, use a 1.2–1.3 nozzle with an air pressure of 2.0–2.5 / 29–36 (BAR/PSI)
4. Application
Apply the mixture over a paint from the 500 series or 900+ series of the same brand in 1.5 or 2 coats for even coverage and an optimal finish. If you apply 1.5 coats, there is no flash-off time between coats. However, if you opt for 2 coats, a flash-off time of 5 to 10 minutes is required.
5. Drying time
Once evaporation is complete and at a suitable distance, the material dries quickly thanks to the infrared light. The infrared lamp can be used at 50°C for 4 minutes for a semi-bake or at 65°C for 10 minutes for a full bake.
