Medium grey spray primer - Ref. SP400GM
Carross SP400GM Medium Grey Fine Primer is a finishing primer packaged in a Spray can, designed to meet the requirements of bodywork and car Preparation professionals. Formulated to provide an optimum surface prior to the application of topcoat paint, it is perfectly suited to both rapid repair processes and traditional preparation cycles.
Versatile application: wet-on-wet or fully dry
One of the major features of this product is its ability to be used in a wet-on-wet technique. This method allows the paint finish to be applied directly to the still-fresh primer, without waiting for it to dry completely or sanding in between. This considerable time saving meets the productivity requirements of professional bodywork workshops. Of course, conventional use with drying and intermediate sanding is still possible, and just as effective for preparations requiring special care of the surface.
A professional quality surface
Once applied, SP400GM Medium Grey Fine Primer provides an even, smooth and flawless film, making it easy to apply subsequent coats of paint. Its mid-grey tint provides a neutral, versatile base that is ideally suited to intermediate tone paints, ensuring that the final colour tone is faithfully reproduced. This mid-grey value makes it a particularly universal reference, covering a wide spectrum of finish colours, both light and dark.
Easy to use in a Spray can
Spray packaging means you can use the product straight away, without having to prepare any equipment or clean your spray gun. The spray can is fitted with a precision valve that delivers a regular, controlled spray, enabling the repair areas to be reached with precision, even in hard-to-reach places. This format is particularly well-suited to localised Touch up, small surfaces and quick repairs in workshops or mobile body shops.
Adhesion and compatibility
SP400GM Fine Primer has excellent adhesion to all common prepared bodywork substrates: steel, aluminium, primed plastics, as well as sound old paintwork that has been properly degreased and matt-finished. It is compatible with acrylic paints, Clearcoats and two-coat systems used in vehicle repair.
Fields of application
- Localized bodywork Touch up
- Surface preparation before topcoating
- Rapid repairs in the workshop
- On-site work or mobile bodywork
- Work on light vehicles, vans and classic cars
Application advice
Carefully prepare the surface: degrease, sand and remove dust from the area to be treated. Shake the can vigorously for at least two minutes before use. Apply in thin, criss-cross layers at a distance of approximately 25 to 30 cm from the substrate. For wet-on-wet application, apply the topcoat after a short evaporation time depending on ambient temperature and humidity conditions. For conventional use, allow to dry completely, then sand finely before applying the next coat.
