Features of De Beer High Solid 8-145 Bodywork Primer
This high-solids De Beer primer is a two-component product that is very easy to apply by spray gun and has the unique feature of being suitable for use either as a sandable primer or as a wet-on-wet primer.
Application of De Beer High Solid 8-145 Bodywork Primer
Sandable version:
- Mix in a 3:1 ratio with De Beer 2K MS hardeners + 10% Uni Standard Thinner 1-151 or Uni Fast Thinner 1-141
- OR mix in a ratio of 6:1 with De Beer HS420 Very Fast 8-430 (spot repair only), Fast 8-440, Standard 8-450 or Slow 8-460 hardeners + 25% Uni Standard Thinner 1-151 or Uni Fast Thinner 1-141
- Apply using a gravity-fed spray gun with a 1.3–1.4 mm nozzle and a pressure of 3–3.5, in 1–3 coats with a 5–10 minute wait between coats
- Drying time at 20°C: 16 hours
- Drying time at 60°C: 20–30 minutes
Wet-on-wet application:
- Mix in a 3:1 ratio with De Beer 2K MS hardeners + 20 per cent Uni Standard 1-151 thinner or Uni Rapid 1-141 thinner
- OR mix in a ratio of 6:1 with HS420 hardeners: Very Fast 8-430 (spot repair only), Fast 8-440, Standard 8-450 or Slow 8-460 + 35% Uni Standard Thinner 1-151 or Uni Fast Thinner 1-141
- Apply using a gravity-fed spray gun with a 1.3–1.5 mm nozzle and a pressure of 3–3.5, in a single coat of 20–25 µm
