How do I apply Putty correctly?

You should also remember to sand the surface to ensure that no impurities are left behind. If the surface is made of aluminium or zinc, a blast of abrasive will also help to remove the oxide layer and then treat the bodywork better. When using the hardener, remember to mix 4CR 2810 carefully with the hardener in the kit according to the instructions on the technical data sheet.
